And rightly so: Project 2025 is more than a sound bite, more than a curiosity – it is the latest in a long line of intergenerational attempts to overturn the United States as we’ve always known it. It seeks not just to uproot and discard the New Deal that brought the nation out of Depression and into world leadership, but to terminate the American Experiment altogether – and put in its place an autocratic regime that secures conservative authority and the well-being of the wealthy at the expense of the American majority’s freedoms.
